So Who's Who?
King Nuada
A Mighty King who is the leader of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He battled Sreng in the first Battle of Moytura and lost his arm in the process. He had it replaced with a magical silver one along with a sword capable of inflicting Mortal Blows with every swipe! Pop in and hold this magical Sword at the Centre plus you can even try on his Silver Arm!
Sreng
A fierce Champion and leader of the Fir Bolg. The slayer of King Nuada's arm in the Battle of Moytura. A menace and a real force not to be taken lightly. P.S. It just so happens that we have his commanding Weapon that chopped off Nuada's arm on display in our Centre.
Balor
The King of the Fomorians, a race of Giants that walked the lands. He possessed a large evil eye in the middle of his forehead and another at the back of his head so no one could sneak up on him. Killed King Nuada with his poisonous eye in the second battle of Moytura.
Lugh
Successfully led the Tuatha De Danann to victory against the Fomorians and later became King after defeating Balor. He possessed a Magic Spear and Sling Shot that no man could stand up against! Come and test them out for yourself in the Weapons display area of our Visitor Centre. Luckily the Weapons powers only work with Lugh touching them!
Bres
Bres ruled after the reign of Nuada was ended following his battle injuries. Bres was a tyrant King who treated his people as slaves and favoured his Fomorian kin. He was later exiled when Nuada was reinstated as King. You can check out Bres's favourite cloak and staff in our Visitor Centre.
Dagda
Dagda was known as the 'Good God' and protector of the tribe, son of Danu. Dagda possessed a magic Club that could slay nine men with one blow and its handle could be used to bring the slain back to life. He also put the seasons in order when playing his magical harp. Come and check out his Magical Club in our Centre plus you can meet his Cook! in Dagda's Kitchen. Did you know? he always had two pigs on the go - one for Roasting and the other one always growing!
Danu
The Special Mother figure of the Tuatha De Danann. She is the Earth Goddess embodying all things living providing fertility, nurturing and regeneration. Check out some of her clothing that Legend has it is still said to possess magical powers for those who touch them.
